Candle formula calculator

Calculate a candle blend from the wax quantity for one candle or an entire batch. Set the number of candles and fragrance load, then see the required amounts per candle and for the batch.

• Split the wax base between multiple waxes and check that their shares total 100%.
• Build a fragrance blend from multiple scents and set each scent's share.
• Add stearin, dye or another ingredient by percentage or fixed weight; choose whether a fixed amount is for one candle or the whole batch.
• Choose whether the fragrance percentage is based on wax or the finished wax-and-fragrance mixture.
• In professional mode, include a 3% pitcher-loss reserve and review the calculation steps.

Recipe journal and formula versions

Save a calculation as a recipe or enter a formula manually. A recipe keeps its wax, fragrance blend, additives, wick, container, process temperatures and production notes together.

• Create a new version when the fragrance percentage, wick or observations change.
• Keep earlier formula versions in the recipe history.
• Copy a recipe to make a separate formula while preserving the original.
• Add dated workshop notes under the name configured in the account.
• Start a production batch or a laboratory series from a recipe.

Wick testing laboratory

Create a test series linked to a recipe and compare as many wick variants as the test needs. Each variant has its own results and notes.

• Record melt-pool diameter, burn duration, flame height, soot or mushrooming, scent throw and vessel temperature.
• Edit test results, rename or delete the series, and add more wick variants.
• Select a preferred variant after recording the core burn results.
• Create a recipe version from the selected wick so the test remains traceable to the formula.

Production batches and cost tracking

Start a batch from a saved recipe, choose the candle count and carry the formula version into the production record. Follow the pour and curing stages as the batch progresses.

• Review calculated material quantities and update them with actual usage.
• Enter the actual cost of wax, fragrance, containers, wicks and other batch costs.
• Calculate batch and per-candle cost, enter a selling price and see the difference per candle.
• Record production notes, mark the pour, start curing, complete the batch or return it to active work.

Settings, local storage and archive

Set the units and precision that fit your workshop. Journal records and preferences stay in the local browser or app storage on the device. Export a JSON archive to keep a separate copy or move your records to another device.

• Choose grams or ounces, Celsius or Fahrenheit, rounding precision and a cost currency.
• Set fragrance-addition and pour-temperature ranges for your process.
• Export journal records to JSON and import an archive by adding new records while skipping duplicate IDs; imported preferences do not replace device settings.
• Clear local browser or app storage when you want to remove the journal from that device.

Manrope and Space Grotesk font files ship with the app, so they are not fetched from Google Fonts.
