YOUR WORKSHOP, IN GOOD ORDER

From a first formula
to a better next batch.

Keep the details that make your process repeatable, and make the next decision with the last test in view.

01

Calculate the full blend

Weigh wax per candle or for the whole batch. Add fragrance blends, stearin, dye and other ingredients.

02

Compare wick tests

Record burn results for as many wick options as you need, then keep the winning test with its recipe.

03

Build a recipe journal

Save formulas, track versions and add the observations you want to remember next time.

04

Plan production batches

Connect a batch to a recipe, track curing time, materials and the actual cost of making.

A PRACTICAL FORMULA EXAMPLE

How much fragrance for 10 candles?

At 145 g of wax per candle, the batch uses 1,450 g of wax. With an 8% fragrance load based on wax weight, add 116 g of fragrance for 1,566 g of wax-and-fragrance mixture, before other additives.

A WORKFLOW THAT CONNECTS

Make. Test. Improve.

Every step gives the next one useful context.

01

Start with a formula

Set your wax, fragrance load and candle count. Add the materials that belong in your blend.

02

Learn from each burn

Compare wick options and record melt pool, flame, soot and scent throw side by side.

03

Carry learning forward

Keep the selected test with a recipe version, then use that formula to plan a production batch.

PRACTICAL ANSWERS

Made for real candle-making decisions.

See how the calculator, testing journal and production records fit the work at your bench.

Can I calculate for one candle and for a full batch?

Yes. Enter the wax weight for one candle or the entire batch, set the candle count and see ingredient amounts per candle and for the whole batch.

Can a formula include several waxes or fragrances?

Yes. Divide the wax base between wax types and set each fragrance’s share in a blend. The calculator checks that each composition adds up to 100%.

Can I include stearin, dye and other additives?

Add each ingredient by percentage or fixed weight. Percentage amounts can be based on wax or the wax-and-fragrance mixture; fixed weights can apply to one candle or the batch.

What can I compare in a wick test?

Record melt-pool diameter, burn duration, flame height, soot, scent throw and vessel temperature for each wick variant. Choose a result and carry that wick into a recipe version.

Can I track production costs?

Start a batch from a recipe, record actual material use and costs, follow curing progress, then review the batch cost and cost per candle.
